日常口語英文容易犯錯的原因之一，是我們沒有去瞭解英美人士慣用的說法為何，而是想當然爾地用直譯方式表達我們要說的意思，以下五句就是很明顯的例子，請試著改成道地用語。

1.I wash my clothes every Saturday.
我每周六洗衣服。
2.I won't join you guys for lunch tomorrow. I have something to do.
我明天不會和你們一起吃中飯，我有事要做。
3.Don't you know that you just ran through a red light?
你不知道自己剛闖過紅燈嗎？
4.John and Mary fit immediately.
約翰和瑪麗一拍即合。
5.Don't drive after you drink.
酒後不開車。

1.I do the laundry every Saturday.
如果你是在強調「洗衣服」這個動作，可以用wash當動詞，如：There's an ink stain on my shirt; I'm washing it.，但若是指「洗衣服」這個家事，應該用do the laundry。
2.I won't join you guys for lunch tomorrow. Something ties me up.
中文會用「我有事要做」來表示自己被某事纏住，以致於無法赴約，但英文譯成I have something to do.卻很怪，較好的說法是用tie up這個片語。
3.Don't you know that you just ran a red light?
「闖紅燈」的「闖」用run即可，別因為想到要「過了」標誌才算違規，就多加上through。
4.John and Mary click.
看到中文裡有「合」這個字，便以為可以用fit？但fit多用來指「（衣服）合身」或「（雙方彼此）適合」，要表達相處得很「合拍」，應該用click，它本來指「喀嚓聲」，也可用來指雙方的個性、行事恰好吻合。
5.Don't drink and drive.
錯誤句是用直譯方式表達喝酒後不要開車，雖然意思和文法皆無誤，但卻不是美加地區及英語系國家人民的慣用說法，最普遍的講法是Don't drink and drive.，也可以說No drunk-driving.。
喔，原來這樣講才對！

HappyCash「有錢卡」下半年將可嗶進台北、高雄雙捷運。為擴大「有錢卡」交通應用範圍，HappyCash一直以來極力爭取參與交通部多卡通專案，繼去年底「有錢卡」於高捷完成全閘門多卡通實測後，近期也正式取得台北捷運「電子票證業務服務案」標案，加入北捷多卡通行列；未來消費者持「有錢卡」將可暢行北、高雙捷，且提供全線全閘門支付通行服務。
遠鑫電子票證總經理蔡淑華強調，全台運輸軌道多卡通為交通部力推重要政策，順利加入北捷是HappyCash「有錢卡」在交通應用發展的重要里程碑。
為滿足大台北地區通勤族的需求，「有錢卡」服務將一次到位，包括於北捷全閘門與雙北公車將同步啟動「有錢卡」支付服務、提供捷運公車雙向轉乘優惠，同時於北捷全線共計117個站內，提供售卡、加值等完整票證應用服務，持「有錢卡」搭乘捷運更暢行無阻，並將於下半年全面啟動。
據了解，HappyCash導入高捷「多卡通電子票證服務」，已進入上線前最後準備階段，將配合高捷多卡通時程，「有錢卡」於高捷全線正式啟動，嗶卡即可迅速通行，讓卡友充分享受高捷便利的公共運輸服務，預計7月上線。
另外，HappyCash全力配合台鐵環島多卡通時程規畫，達成準時上線、提供更多交通支付的目標。
未來「有錢卡」將可通行環島鐵路及互通北、高雙捷，讓全台旅遊、觀光、洽商與在地通勤族皆可使用，真正達到HappyCash「有錢卡」全台通行的便利與優惠。
未來悠遊卡、一卡通、icash、HappyCash有錢卡將視洽談結果，將陸續可以全面通行出台北捷運、高雄捷運，讓民眾更加便利。
